With decades of experience in the mining, construction, power and software industries, we had been designing and building digital twins for over 5 years when in January 2023 we took the plunge to apply our many learnings to bring to life our vision for a more connected world.
At Geminum, we see digital twins as being a decision centric digital transformation tool for asset intensive industries. Augmentation of humans, rather than maximisation of AI, is the accelerator to a safer and more productive future.
Digital twins bridge the gaps between assets, people and work to connect and augment human and machine decision makers. Critically, we see them as being a vital "wrapper" for the many AI and learning systems that are emerging and that need to work alongside and with people and legacy systems. The journey to autonomy will be unique and challenging for every organisation, and indeed for every site, factory, refinery and person within an organisation.
